bordonaroBorn in Avola in 1984, she began studying piano with Maestro Letizia Scifo, continuing her training with Maestro Corrado Ratto at the “V. Bellini” Music Institute in Catania, where she graduated with top honors and praise.
In 2007, she earned a first-level degree in Management Engineering with the highest marks; in 2009, she completed the Two-Year Specialization Course for piano teaching; and in 2011, she obtained a Second-Level Academic Diploma in Musical Disciplines from the “V. Bellini” Music Institute in Catania, with top marks and praise.
She attended masterclasses with Alessandro La Pegna, Vincenzo Balzani, Francesco Nicolosi, Sergio Perticaroli, Aquiles Delle Vigne, Claudio Martinez, Elisso Virsaladze, Arie Vardi, and Oleg Marshev. From 2008 to 2012, she studied at the Fiesole Music School under the guidance of Maestro Pietro De Maria.
She has won numerous national and international piano competitions, including “A.M.A Calabria” in Lamezia Terme, “Città di Viterbo,” “Vanna Spadafora” in Venetico, “G. Rospigliosi” in Lamporecchio, the A.Gi.Mus National Competition, and “Riviera della Versilia.” She wan first prize at the 6th J. Brahms Interpretation Competition in “Città di Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto” and was the overall winner of the International Piano Competition “G. De Vincenzi” in Pontinvrea. In 2013, she won second prize in the solo final at the “Premio Rovere d’Oro” and third prize at the “Premio Schubert” solo final. She participated in the “Concours International de Piano d’Orléans 2016,” playing Joe Schittino’s “Three Pieces.”
She has performed in concerts across Italy and abroad, such us Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg, Engiadina Academy in Samedan, Lugansk Philharmonic Theatre, “CMC Ubach Palenberg” Concert Hall (Aachen), Palazzo Pitti in Florence, S. Micheletto Auditorium in Lucca, Cenacolo of the Augustinian Convent in Empoli, Fiesole Sinopoli Auditorium, La Mortella Gardens in Ischia, Marcello Theatre in Rome, Old Filanda Auditorium in Cambiago, Albino City Auditorium, Unification Army Circle in Genoa, Pietra Ligure Municipal Theatre, S. Godenzo Abbey, San Remigio Abbey in Parodi Ligure, Lozzo di Cadore Municipal Auditorium, Sforza-Cesarini Palace in Genzano, Marnate City Council Hall, Villa Clerici in Milan, S. Maria Maggiore Church in Favignana, RAI Auditorium in Palermo, Castello Ursino in Catania, Greco Theatre in Palazzolo Acreide, and Avola Theatre.
In 2010, she performed with Catania Baroque Orchestra, playing Mozart’s Concerto K271, and in February 2012, she performed Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor with the Lugansk State Philharmonic Orchestra.
She has recorded a CD for Free Sound Studies playing works by Clementi, Chopin, Schumann, and Scriabin.
She has collaborated as accompanying pianist in annual courses on technique and interpretation of flute and clarinet repertoire, led by Masters Salvatore Vella, Calogero Palermo, and Gianmarco Casani. In 2023 she worked as accompanying pianist in Catania’s Conservatory.
Currently, she is a Professor of Piano Practice at the “V.Bellini” Conservatory in Caltanissetta.
